This weekend I did a lot of spring cleaning! One of the things I cleaned out was my book shelf. I have so many amazing books but I have to clean out some so I can get new ones! My loss is your gain. I Am A Reader, Not A Writer is hosting a Spring Cleaning Book Giveaway.

My favorite cookbook is my grandmothers copy of The Boston Cooking School Cook Book by Fannie Merritt Farmer from 1918... I love to read it, but don't actually use any of the recipes!

Cook's Illustrated Cookbook. Can't go wrong with their recipes since you know they have been tested so many times!
ReplyDeleteFunny enough my Betty Crocker cookbook is the one that I used the most when I got married. It's worn so you can tell it was well loved.

ReplyDeleteI have collected quite a few cookbooks over the years ... right now, my favorite would have to be the South Beach Diet Cookbook. Fabulous, healthy recipes. I've used this cookbook so often the spine is falling apart. I wish they would make it in a spiral bound book. Oh well. Thank you for sharing in the spring cleaning!

Jacques Pepin's The Art Of Cooking (Vols 1 & 2), and, although it's not really a cookbook, I adore The Flavor Bible by Karen Page and Andrew Dornenburg.

ReplyDeleteSpring is in the air and it's time for that spring cleaning. My house certainly needs a little extra spring cleaning this spring as I'm drowning in books! I do have to admit, however, that I'm looking forward to spring weather and longer days. I love flowers. I love hearing the birds chirp.
