Happy 2015! I hope you had a great end to your year. My husband and I had a lovely night and we are much looking forward to a happy and healthy 2015. To help ring in the new year I wanted to share my top 10 most popular recipes from last year.
Is it any surprise that two of the top 10 are cupcakes? Not really. I love making them and my readers like to read about them. I am surprised that one of the top 10 recipes is a vegan recipe, that another is a breakfast recipe, and yet another is a salad! All very surprising as those are not usually the most popular recipes on Hezzi-D’s Books and Cooks.
So without further adieu, here are the top 10 recipes from 2014.
A delicious dip made with Jalapenos, Cheddar cheese, and beer that is great for dipping bread, pretzels, or chips.
A vanilla cake and red velvet cake layered to make fun zebra stripes is great for a party.
Cupcakes made with brown butter and sweet grilled peaches make for a delightful summer or fall dessert.
7. Caribbean Cobb Salad with Spicy Pineapple Dressing
A fun twist on the traditional Cobb using chicken, bacon, mangoes, and avocado with a spicy pineapple dressing.
Bacon, eggs, and cheese wrapped in Crescent rolls and baked to a golden brown makes for a hearty breakfast.
Bacon, Shrimp, and Spinach tossed with pasta in a tasty garlic butter sauce.
This is one of my favorite entrees this year. Sauteed chicken served on a bed of couscous with caramelized onions, spinach, and a rich and creamy Dubliner cheese sauce.
Chicken and vegetables wrapped in romaine lettuce for a healthy main dish.
This is currently my all time favorite bread. Made in a vegan style, this bread tastes like a fresh baked hot pretzel coming out of the oven.
You can’t go wrong with sweet and bubbly Pink Moscato baked into your vanilla cupcakes!
