Over the past few years I’ve learned that when people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day they are correct. I’ve found that eating a good breakfast really helps to fuel me throughout the day. Sometimes in the summer I’m so busy I forget but this summer I’ve been making the time to eat breakfast every morning. It’s true that good mornings lead to great days!
Now first thing in the morning I don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking in the kitchen. I like to get my cup of coffee and make something that’s easy but filling. The problem comes in that my husband and I don’t always agree on what to have for breakfast. That’s why I love shopping for Jimmy Dean breakfast products at Martin’s Food Markets!
Martin’s Food Markets has variety of tasty and satisfying Jimmy Dean breakfast offerings that are ready to enjoy in just minutes. In addition to the breakfast bowls, breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes, they also have fully cooked sausage. In addition to the regular sausage they also have fully cooked turkey sausage which I love to use to make an easy breakfast recipe.
I like to whip up a quick and easy sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast casserole when I have time in the summer. I can put it together and get it in the oven in about 10 minutes and then a half hour later when I’m ready for my second cup of coffee it’s ready to eat! Using the Jimmy Dean Fully Cooked Turkey Sausage links makes it even faster because I don’t have to pull out a skillet and cook the sausage before putting together this casserole. I use a few vegetables from the market as well as herbs from the garden and then put it in the oven to cook.
When it’s just about time to pull out the casserole I’m able to pop a Jimmy Dean Bacon Breakfast Bowl in the microwave for my husband. It’s ready in just minutes and we can both have what we want for breakfast without much trouble. He enjoys the potatoes and the bacon in the breakfast bowl while I like the protein and the turkey sausage in my casserole. I also like the breakfast casserole because there is always enough left to enjoy for lunch and for breakfast the next day.
Since it’s summer we’ve been enjoying breakfast outside at our bistro table. While I’m getting the food ready my husband brews a carafe of coffee and takes out glasses of orange juice. We set it with cloth napkins and silverware and just get ready for a relaxing breakfast.
I like to pair my breakfast casserole with an English Muffin and my husband enjoys a side of fruit salad with his breakfast bowl. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy a good breakfast outside in the sunshine with my husband during the summer. A good morning in the sun with my husband and a delicious breakfast always leads to a great rest of the day!
