I have another great giveaway happening today for the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways! Today I’m sharing the 11-piece Farberware Glide Cookware Set. This is a fabulous set of pots and pans that heat evenly and are totally nonstick. I’m talking nothing sticks to these things!
I decided to make a vegetable omelet in the smaller Farberware Glide skillet. I often have difficulties with omelets sticking to the skillet so I thought this would be a good item to try cooking in these skillets to find out just how good they are. I simply used eggs, cheese, peppers, and onions but you can add any vegetables that you enjoy in an omelet.
In order to test these skillets I didn’t even use cooking spray. I just whipped up some eggs along with a few seasonings and put them in the skillet. Then I sprinkled the eggs with cheese, peppers, and onions and let them cook. Once the eggs looked mostly cooked I folded the omelet in half, cooked it for 1 minute more on each side, and then it was time to take it out.
I didn’t even need a spatula! I simply slid the omelet out of the skillet and onto the plate. The skillet was so clean it didn’t even look like I used it! Plus, my omelet was fluffy and perfectly cooked. The outside was just beginning to brown while the inside was puffy and the cheesy was gooey. It was a delicious and easy to make breakfast perfect for busy mornings.
- 2 eggs
- ¼ c. milk
- ½ t. garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 3 T. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 T. red bell pepper, chopped
- 1-2 T. onion, minced
- In a medium bowl combine the eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Beat until fluffy.
- Pour the egg mixture into an 8.5 inch skillet (I used Farberware) and cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top of the egg mixture. Top with the red bell pepper and onion.
- Allow the omelet to cook for 3-4 additional minutes or until the egg seems set.
- Using a spatula, fold half of the omelet over and cook for 1 additional minute. Flip the omelet over and cook for 1 more minute.
- Slide the omelet onto a plate and enjoy!
