I can't believe Baby J is about to be 1! I feel like this past year has just flown by. The older he gets the more fun he gets and I love that I've gotten to spend the last 11 weeks at home with him. In this time he's learned to say "mama", he's learned to pull up to stand, to cruise on the furniture, and even to walk using his push walker! I'm so grateful for the time I've gotten to spend with him but I went back to work on Wednesday and my husband gets to spend his days with him now.
Now that Baby J is going to be 1 tomorrow it's time to say goodbye to Baby Food Fridays. I've enjoyed sharing my homemade baby food recipes, reviews of baby food and snacks, and a few other things. But instead of abandoning the idea of sharing the food I make for Baby J starting in September I'll be starting Toddler Tuesdays!
Toddler Tuesdays is going to be a lot of fun. It will include plenty of toddler friendly recipes. I'm sure we will have some reviews of my favorite toddler products. I also plan to include some of Baby J's favorite things as well. As he grows and gets older we might start sharing our craft projects as well. I guess I won't be calling him Baby J anymore either! Soon he will just be J.
I'm going to share a quick sneak peak of his first birthday party. I've been very excited and nervous about it but I think we are ready to go. His theme is "Little Blue Truck" because that is his absolute favorite book. It doesn't matter is he's upset, angry, crying, or exhausted, once I start reading that book he snuggles into me and listens to the entire thing. He also giggles at the last page every single time. I knew it would be the perfect them.
All of the plates, cups, and silverware will be blue. I'm making a vanilla cake with blue piping and the Little Blue Truck on it. I'll also be making chocolate cupcakes with the Little Blue Truck characters on picks sticking out of them. We will only have a few decorations like a banner saying Happy Birthday, a few Blue Truck centerpieces, and maybe a table decoration. I can't wait to see how it all turns out!
So I hope you've enjoyed Baby Food Fridays and will continue to follow along with Toddler Tuesdays. I'd love to hear what you would like to see in my new series! Leave me a comment sharing anything you'd like to see on Toddler Tuesdays and I'll try to get to it.
