This month the What’s Baking challenge is being host by me!   I chose the theme of Baking Bread because during the winter there is nothing better then smelling fresh baked bread and pulling a hot loaf out of the oven to enjoy on a cold, snowy day.

I actually love baking bread so I have quite a collection of breads that I make on a regular basis.  I make a lot of quick breads which don’t have to rise and are not yeast based.   I also make a lot of sandwich breads with yeast.   So for this challenge I wanted to try something a little different.

Garlic Bubble Bread

I went to my collection of cookbooks because one of my resolutions for 2015 is to use my cookbooks more often.  I found a recipe for Garlic Bubble Bread.   It’s basically a yeast dough that is broken into 12 pieces, dipped into seasoned garlic butter, and placed in a bread pan.   When it bakes it all comes together in the shape of the loaf pan but it’s super easy to pull apart.

A fabulous Garlic Bubble Bread Pull Apart Bread

This bread tastes like pizza and garlic bread.  In fact, my husband and I dipped our bread pieces into marinara sauce in order to enjoy it.   So while it would be great as a side dish to any pasta, it’s also perfect as an appetizer too!  Simple set it on a plate along with warm marinara sauce and allow people to break off one of the “bubbles” and dip.  I’m so glad I made this bread and will be making it often.
