Warm weather is coming and that means drinks on the porch!   I love warm days where I can sit outside with friends sipping a cocktail while my husband grills our dinner.   It’s one of my favorite things to do in the summer.

Cherry Lime Martinis are a delicious summer cocktail

Of course whenever I have friends coming over I like to make a new signature cocktail to offer them along with a variety of beer and wine.   I’m known for my fun and creative cocktails often served in fun glasses with fruit or sugar on the rim.  When I found out my friends were coming over I quickly headed to the pantry to see what vodka flavors we had.

Whip up an easy Cherry Lime Martini for happy hour

The cherry vodka was calling my name.   I love cherries anyhow but during the first few weeks of summer cherries begin showing up in stores and I really end up craving them.   One of my favorite pairings with cherries is lime so this Cherry Lime Martini was an easy choice.

I simply used fresh squeezed lime juice, cherry vodka, and a bit of simple syrup.   I find that when making martinis the two key elements are to use simple ingredients and fresh squeezed juice.   Those two rules definitely made for a tasty cocktail in this case.

Enjoy a refreshing Cherry Lime Martini

The Cherry Lime Martini is delicious.  It’s sweet but not too sweet as the lime juice adds a tart element to it.   Cherry and lime are such a great pairing and when they are combined in a shaker with ice then strained into a martini glass its pure bliss.
