This pizza dough doesn't need any time to rise so it's great in a pinch if you find yourself out of dough on a Friday night!
Ingredients
  • 1 package dry active yeast
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1 c. warm water (110 degrees)
  • 2½ c. flour
  • 2 t. olive oil
  • 1 t. salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a medium bowl dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in the flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a ball. Place crust to a lightly greased pizza pan dusted with cornmeal.
  4. Bake for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and spread with desired toppings. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the crust is brown.
  6. Remove from oven and cool 2 minutes before cutting.
