Granola with Kalamata Figs

Serves: 3 cups of granola
Enjoy delicious homemade granola with oats, flax seeds, nuts, and figs
  • 2 c. old fashioned oats
  • ½ c. flax seeds
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1 t. sea salt
  • 1 T. vegetable oil
  • 3 T. honey
  • ½ c. Kalamata figs
  • ⅓ c. walnuts, chopped
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a small bowl combine the oats, flax seeds, cinnamon, and sea salt. Add the vegetable oil and toss to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the honey over top of the granola.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes then stir the granola. Bake for 10 additional minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and add the figs and walnuts. Quickly toss to combine.
  7. Allow to cool for 20 minutes before packing in an air tight container.
