Baked Vanilla Donuts

Serves: 6 donuts
A delicious vanilla donut topped with vanilla glaze and colorful sprinkles.
For the donuts:
  • 1⅓ c. flour
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • ½ t. salt
  • ⅓ c. sugar
  • ¼ c. milk
  • ¼ c. sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 4 T. butter, melted
  • 1 t. vanilla
For the glaze:
  • 2 T. milk
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • Colorful sprinkles
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Pray a donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, sour cream, and egg. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add in the butter and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Put the batter into a zip top baggie and cut off the end. Pipe the batter into the donut pan.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool for 2 minutes in the pan and then remove to a wire rack and cool completely.
  6. In a small bowl combine the milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Whisk until combined.
  7. Dip the donuts into the glaze and set back on the wire rack for 1 minute.
  8. Take the donuts and dip into a plateful of the sprinkles and place back on the wire rack to allow excess to drip off.
