Apple Fritter Bread

A delicious sweet and spiced quick Apple Bread recipe.
  • ⅓ c. brown sugar
  • 2 t. cinnamon
  • ⅔ c. sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1½ c. flour
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • ½ c. milk
  • 2 apples, chopped
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a bread pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl cream together the sugar and butter. Stir in the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  4. In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add half the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well. Stir in the milk. Pour in the remaining flour mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Pour half the bread mixture into the prepared pan. Top with half of the brown sugar mixture and sprinkle with half of the apples. Repeat the layers one more time.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and cool 15 minutes. Run a knife around the edge and remove bread from pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.
