Grilled Porterhouse Steaks with Garlic Herb Compound Butter

Grilled Porterhouse steaks flavored with a butter made with garlic, thyme, and parsley.
  • 4 Porterhouse Steaks
  • 2 t. salt
  • 2 t. pepper
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 T. parsley, chopped
  • 2 T. thyme, chopped
  • 1 t. salt
  • ½ t. pepper
  1. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and rub them with salt, pepper, and garlic. Allow to sit out for 30 minutes.
  2. To make the butter, heat the butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or until just softened.
  3. Add the garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper and mix well.
  4. Place the butter mixture in waxed paper and roll into a log. Refrigerate 20-30 minutes.
  5. Heat a gas grill to medium high heat.
  6. Put the steaks on and cook 5-7 minutes per side or until desired temperature is reached.
  7. Remove from grill and top with a slice of the compound butter.
