When I opened the large box the first thing I noticed was that there was a large water bottle and 5 white boxes. Each box had a number on it 1-5.
I loved that each day came in a separate box so there was no chance of me getting confused by what I should be eating or drinking that day. Each box contains plant-based energy bars, different flavors of soups, a variety of snacks, herbal teas, drinks, and supplements that were carefully designed to nourish my body and to help me maintain healthy levels of metabolic markers.
The first thing I looked at were the soups. You get one soup for lunch and one for dinner. There are two different packages of soups to choose from. You can choose the original flavors of Vegetable, Minestrone, Vegetable Quinoa, Mushroom, and Tomato or the new flavors of Butternut Squash, Black Bean, Butternut Squash with Quinoa, Spinach with White Bean, and Tomato. I chose the original flavors simply because those are the ones that appealed to me.
The kit also includes L-Bars and snacks. The L-bar come in two different flavors. One is nut-based and the other is choco crisp. The snacks include olives and kale crackers. There is also a selection of herbal teas, L-Drink, and supplements.
I will be the first to admit I was a little worried about this fasting mimicking diet. I hoped I would like the L-bars and the soup flavors. When I opened my first L-bar it didn’t look great however it was surprisingly tasty and filling for as small as it was. Eating that plus having a cup of herbal tea kept me full until lunch time.
The time in between lunch and dinner was what I was most worried about because that’s when I usually snack. While I was having soup for lunch and kale crackers as my snack, I wasn’t sure that was going to be enough to keep me full. I’m happy to report that the soup was thick and hearty and by having another cup of herbal tea and my L-drink I was able to keep the cravings away and made it until dinner time with another bowl of soup. While the soup wasn’t the best soup I’ve ever had, it did keep me full.
Overall while I wasn’t completely full throughout the days I wasn’t starving either. I felt like this was cleansing and honestly it was nice not having to worry about what to make for lunch or dinner every day because everything was packaged and ready to go. I simply pulled out a box in the morning and I was ready for the day.
After using ProLon for several days I can say that I felt pretty good and energetic. This is a great way to kickstart weight loss, especially belly fat, while still protecting lean body mass.
