Goodreads Synopsis:
“Blog at Home Mom is a source of practical and encouraging tips to help moms balance their life at home with their blogging ministry or business online. You will find ideas for organizing and prioritizing your blog and writing, as well as setting goals and keeping balance with your home and children.”
Last month, I was asking for book suggestions when a fellow blogger recommended Blog at Home Mom: Balancing Blogging and Motherhood. I’m so thankful she did because it was an excellent book to start off my new year. It was a quick read, but jammed packed with good advice for any mom/blogger.
I have to admit, I struggle with balance. Heather will tell you and anyone else in my small blogging group how quickly I go from ready to take on the world to overwhelmed with my to do list. It has always been difficult for me to find enough time in the day to take care of all the blogging and home responsibilities. I constantly have this nagging feel that I am neglecting one, if not all of them, and it can be very discouraging when you have this feeling you are being spread too thin.
Not only did the book give me encouragement in life and blogging, but it gave me a plan. While I read the book, I jotted down goals for every area of my life. Then I decided on priorities, it helped me easily see what I needed to be working on and what could wait.
For the first time in my blogging career I have post scheduled. I’m not overwhelmed by what needs to be done in my home or online. Now, I’m not saying the world is perfect, I know there will be days when I have taken on too much. But, now I have a plan I can always come back to for that refresher we all need at times.
I recommend this book to any Mom/ Blogger, I know you will find plenty of beneficial information on how to manage and balance life a little better.
