It’s Week 2 of my Meal Plan Mondays and I have another round of fabulous recipes. If you didn’t get to check out last weeks post I am sharing 5 main dish recipes, 3 side dish recipes, 3 dessert recipes, and 3 bonus recipes every week.
Are you new to meal planning? With a little practice it can save you money and time. One tip is to keep a list of recipes that your family enjoys and write them on a planner. Each month plus in your family favorites on your meal planning calendar then fill in the rest with new recipes, recipes you enjoy but don’t make very often, or seasonal recipes.
My family has a list of 8 recipes that we have every month. Several of these recipes stick with us year round but other recipes are seasonal and are only on the menu plan for 2 or 3 months. I also “retire” recipes when we start getting sick of them or rotate in new favorites.
This week I’m sharing one of my favorite winter lasagna recipes, an easy fish recipe that will be a new Fish Friday favorite, and an Asian vegetarian recipe that is better than any take out. I also have a homemade pierogi recipe and a jalapeno hummus cornbread recipe that you won’t believe!
For dessert I’m bringing you a few favorites for the upcoming holidays. My Tunnel of Fudge Cake is one batter that is cakey on the outside with a layer of fudge on the inside that would be great for a Valentine’s Day dessert. With Mardi Gras on the horizon I have not one but two fun desserts for you.
