Welcome to Week 3 of Meal Plan Mondays! This week I have quite the line up of delicious recipes for you to choose from. Each week I’m sharing enough recipes so that you can plan an entire week of meals without having to go search for them!
If you haven’t check out my other meal planning posts each week I am sharing 5 main dish recipes, 3 side dish recipes, 3 dessert recipes, and 3 bonus recipes. While many of the recipes are my own I am sharing a few from other blogs as well.
Want to learn how to meal plan? While everyone has their own strategy I find that it’s easiest to take inventory of the proteins I have in my freezer or refrigerator and then I plan sides and vegetable dishes around those. I also plan on making one or two desserts.
Once I figure out what I’m making I look to see what I have in the house and create a grocery list of items that I need. I then add in some pantry items and fruits and vegetables that we use up every week and that’s how I know what to shop for.
This week I am sharing a recipe for the most decent BBQ Brisket stuffed macaroni and cheese shells. I also have my no fail beer batter fish recipe which is perfect for those Fish Fridays of Lent. There’s also 2 yummy salads filled with fruits and other goodies and a few tasty desserts including one using Girl Scout Cookies and one you’ll want to make for Pi(e) Day.
