Ingredients

flour

teaspoons
brown sugar
1
package quick rise yeast
1
teaspoons
salt
3/4
c.
warm water
2
teaspoons
butter
melted
1
teaspoons
garlic powder
1
teaspoons
thyme
1
teaspoons
sage
1
teaspoons
oregano
Instructions
In a large bowl combine 1 1/2 cups of flour with the brown sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
Add the water, butter, garlic, thyme, sage, and oregano and mix until smooth.
Stir in enough additional flour to form a soft dough.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth.
Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Roll the dough to 3/8 inch thickness and cut with 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutters (or a greased glass).
Place the biscuits on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Cover the biscuits and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bake the biscuits for 11-14 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool on a wire rack.
