Sweet, tangy and spicy barbecue sauce is mixed in an Instant Pot along with pork and onions for a flavorful Instant Pot Whiskey Barbecue Pork that's great on sandwiches.
In the Instant Pot combine the brown sugar, tomato paste, barbecue sauce, whiskey, water, Worcestershire sauce, garlic cloves, chili powder, salt, pepper, hot sauce, and cumin.
Add the pork roast or pork loin and spoon sauce over top.
Place the onion quarters around the pork.
Close the Instant Pot and set on high pressure for 45 minutes.
After it is done cooking allow the Instant Pot to release pressure naturally for 15 minutes then release manually.
Remove the pork from the Instant Pot and shred.
Return to the pot and mix well so that the pork is covered in sauce.
