Ingredients

c.
cherries
pitted, stemmed, and cut in half
¼
c.
1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
2/3
c.
milk
2
Tablespoons
orange juice
1/3
c.
sugar
1
egg
beaten
2 ¼
c.
flour
1
teaspoon
baking powder
1/2
teaspoon
salt
Powdered sugar
for garnish
Whipped butter
for serving
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl mix together the butter and sugar. Add in the egg and mix until combined.
Add the milk and orange juice to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.
In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
Gently fold in the cherries.
Drop large dollops onto a cookie sheet.
Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
