Fresh Fig Scones

Ingredients

  • ¼ c. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract paste
  • 2 ¼ c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnasational spice blend
  • 1 c. fresh figs chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray or line with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large bowl mix together the butter and sugar. Add in the egg and almond extract paste and mix until combined.
  • Add the milk to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.
  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnasational spice blend.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the figs.
  • Using a cookie scoop or large spoon drop large dollops onto a cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and cool completely.
