Bacon Wrapped Meatballs

Crispy bacon wrapped around homemade meatballs with a sweet and spicy crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 10 pieces bacon cut in half
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon chile powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • To make the meatballs place the egg in a large bowl and beat. Add in the ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic cloves, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.
  • Line a baking sheet with sides with foil.
  • Form the beef mixture into 1-1 1/2 inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  • Wrap half a piece of bacon around each and secure with a toothpick.
  • Combine the brown sugar and chile powder in a bowl. Roll the bacon wrapped meatball into the brown sugar mixture and rub to coat. Place back on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
