In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients for the dry mix. Mix well and pour into a quart sized mason jar.
When ready to make the biscuits preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Remove 1 1/2 cups mix from the jar and place in a mixing bowl.
Cut the butter into pieces and mix with your fingers until the mixture resembles wet, coarse sand.
Add the milk and mix until combined.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead a few times, and roll to 1/2 inch thick. Use a 2 inch biscuit cutter and cut out biscuits. You may need to put the dough scraps together again and roll out again to make 10 biscuits.
Place the biscuits on a cookie sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
