Grandma's Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 14 Tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 1/4 c. oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 c. powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a large bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Mix until they are well combined.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  • Add the flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt, baking soda, and baking powder to the sugar mixture. Mix until just combined.
  • Put the powdered sugar in a small bowl.
  • Scoop and roll the dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll in the powdered sugar and place on a cookie sheet. Place 2-3 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crackled. Let cool for 3 minutes on the baking sheet then remove to a wire rack to cool.
