Granola with Kalamata Figs

Ingredients

  • 2 c. old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 c. flax seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 c. Kalamata figs
  • 1/3 c. walnuts chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl combine the oats, flax seeds, cinnamon, and sea salt. Add the vegetable oil and toss to combine.
  • Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the honey over top of the granola.
  • Bake for 10 minutes then stir the granola. Bake for 10 additional minutes.
  • Remove from oven and add the figs and walnuts. Quickly toss to combine.
  • Allow to cool for 20 minutes before packing in an air tight container.
