Instant Pot Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 8-9 Envy Apples
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tablespoon apple pie spice or 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 T.ablespoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place them in the Instant Pot.
  • Pour the water, apple pie spice, sea salt, and sugar on top of the apples and give it a stir.
  • Put the lid on the Instant Pot and hit manual or pressure cook.
  • Pressure cook on high for 10 minutes.
  • Allow the pressure to release for 10 minutes then manually release it.
  • Remove the lid, add in the vanilla, and use a potato masher to mash the apples to desired consistency.
  • If you'd like a smooth texture you can either put the applesauce in a food processor or use an immersion blender to blend until smooth.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
