Slow Cooker Cheddar Beer Chicken Tacos

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 12 oz bottle of beer
  • 2 jalapenos diced
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ow fat sour cream
  • taco shells
  • Cilantro salsa, lettuce, for topping

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crock-pot.
  • In a bowl mix the beer, jalapenos, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, cocoa powder, and garlic cloves. Pour over top of chicken.
  • Cook on low heat for 8 hours.
  • Remove the lid and shred the chicken. Add in the cheddar cheese and sour cream. Stir well until combined. Heat for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Serve in taco shells with additional toppings.
