Snickerdoodle Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 c. brown sugar packed
  • 1 c. butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and set aside.
  • In a large bowl cream together the brown sugar and butter. Add in the eggs and mix well. Stir in the vanilla.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until blended.
  • Spread batter into the prepared pan.
  • In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over top of the bars. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • While still warm cut into squares.
