Red, White, and Blue Ice Cream Sandwiches

Give your favorite ice cream sandwiches a boost with red, white, and blue candy melts and some edible pearls.

Ingredients

  • 8 ice cream sandwiches
  • 4 oz. blue candy melts
  • 2 oz. red candy melts
  • 2 oz. white candy melts
  • edible pearls

Instructions

  • Unwrap the ice cream sandwiches and put them on a cutting board. Put them back in the freezer.
  • Place the blue candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in 20 second increments, stirring after each heating, until the candy is melted.
  • Put the blue candy in a zip top baggie and cut off the corner.
  • Take the ice cream sandwiches out of the freezer. Pipe a blue square on the left side of each sandwich. Quickly sprinkle edible pearls on top of the blue. Place back in the freezer.
  • Place the red candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in 20 second increments, stirring after each heating, until the candy is melted.
  • Put the red candy in a zip top baggie and cut off the corner.
  • Take the ice cream sandwiches out of the freezer. Pipe a horizontal squiggle from top to bottom on the part of the ice cream sandwich that isn't covered in blue. Put back in the freezer.
  • Place the white candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in 20 second increments, stirring after each heating, until the candy is melted.
  • Put the white candy in a zip top baggie and cut off the corner.
  • Take the ice cream sandwiches out of the freezer. Pipe a horizontal squiggle from top to bottom on the part of the ice cream sandwich that isn't covered in blue. Put back in the freezer.
  • Freezer 15 minutes. Remove from freezer and wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap.
  • Return to the freezer until you are ready to eat!
