Easy No-Rise Pizza Crust

This pizza dough doesn't need any time to rise so it's great in a pinch if you find yourself out of dough on a Friday night!

Ingredients

  • 1 package dry active yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 c. warm water 110 degrees
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a medium bowl dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until bubbly, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a ball. Place crust to a lightly greased pizza pan dusted with cornmeal.
  • Bake for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and spread with desired toppings. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the crust is brown.
  • Remove from oven and cool 2 minutes before cutting.
