Apple Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1/2 cup salted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 large apples cored, peeled, and diced

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice.
  • In a large bowl mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Blend the flour mixture into the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Stir in the apples.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
