Equipment

Ingredients

For the Burgers:

  • lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 Tablespoon BBQ seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Montreal Steak Seasoning or other steak seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the vegetables:

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. mushrooms thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • salt and pepper
  • For assembling the burger:
  • 6 slider buns
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and halved

Instructions

  • To make the burgers put the ground beef, BBQ seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, Montreal seasoning, pepper, and salt in a bowl. Mix together with your hands and form into 6 sliders.
  • Place the sliders on a grill heated to medium high heat. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side or until desired temperature is reached. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each slider and close the lid for 1 minute or until melted.
  • Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add in the onions, mushrooms, and garlic and saute for 6 or 7 minutes or until all the vegetables have softened. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and remove from heat.
  • Remove from grill and place the sliders on the buns. Top with bacon and a tablespoon of the onion and mushroom mixture. Serve immediately.
