Chocolate Milk Brownies

Rich chocolate brownies studded with chocolate chips and topped off with chocolate ganache.

Ingredients

For the brownies:

  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate milk
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese chips

For the ganache:

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a 9 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well to combine.
  • In a medium bowl combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add half the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Add the chocolate milk and mix well to combine.
  • Add the remaining flour mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and cream cheese chips.
  • Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  • To make the ganache place the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a microwave safe bowl and heat on 30 seconds. Remove bowl and stir. Heat for 15-20 more seconds or until everything is melted and well combined. Quickly pour over top of brownies and smooth.
  • Allow the ganache to harden for 15 minutes. Cut the brownies into 16 pieces.
