Coffee Cake Donuts

Ingredients

For the topping:

  • 1/4 c. butter melted
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the donuts:

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

For the glaze:

  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Spray a donut pan with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl combine all the ingredients for the topping. Mix well then set aside.
  • To make the donuts combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  • In another medium bowl cream together the sugar, egg, and butter. Add in the milk and vanilla and mix well.
  • Pour the flour mixture into the sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Pour the donut mixture into a zip top bag. Seal the baggie then cut off the edge and pipe the mixture into the donut pan.
  • Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top of the donuts and lightly press down on it to make it stick.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and allow to cool for 2 minutes.
  • Run a knife around the edges and remove the donuts from the pan. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  • In a small bowl combine the ingredients for the glaze. Drizzle over top of the donuts and serve.
