Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and place in a shallow dish.
In another shallow dish combine the breadcrumbs, flour, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Dip each chicken piece into the butter and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Cook in the butter in the skillet for 5 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through. Remove from pan.
Add remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Add the squash and garlic and saute for 4 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and stir.
Return chicken to the pan, heat through, and serve.
