Grilled BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients

For the BBQ dry rub:

  • 2 Tablespoons paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 racks of Extra Tender Fresh Pork Spareribs

For the BBQ Sauce:

  • 2 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon molasses
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon brown mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat.
  • In a small bowl combine the paprika, brown sugar, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Spread half of the BBQ dry rub on top of each of the racks of Smithfield Extra Tender Fresh Pork Spareribs.
  • Place the ribs on the grill over indirect heat for 1 1/2 hours. Check on the ribs periodically.
  • Meanwhile, combine all ingredients for the BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over medium high heat. Once the sauce is boiling reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • After grilling the ribs for 1 1/2 hours put half of the BBQ sauce in a bowl and using a basting brush, began brushing the ribs with the BBQ sauce every 10 minutes for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the ribs from the grill and cut into pieces.
  • Serve with remaining BBQ sauce.
