Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar.
Add in the egg, corn syrup, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt
and mix until a dough forms.
Roll 2-3 tablespoons of dough into a ball and place on a baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix well.
Roll each ball into the cinnamon sugar mixture and place back on the cookie sheet.
Bake for 11-13 minutes or until the cookies just turn golden brown on the edges.
Remove from oven and cool 2-3 minutes before removing the cookies to a wire cooling rack.
