Pizza with Red Onion, Bacon, Peppers, and Arugula
Cook up a gourmet pizza at home with red onions, bacon, peppers, and arugula.

Ingredients

refrigerated pizza dough
6
slices
bacon
1
bell pepper
chopped
2
garlic cloves
minced
1/4
red onion
sliced
1
c.
marinara sauce
1 1/2
c.
mozzarella cheese
shredded
1
c.
arugula
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Spread the dough into a pizza pan and set aside.
In a large skillet cook the bacon over medium heat until brown, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from pan and place on a paper towel lined plate. Crumble.
Add the garlic and bell pepper to the bacon drippings in the skillet and saute for 4-5 minutes or until softened. Remove from heat.
Bake the pizza crust for 5 minutes in the oven.
Remove and spread the marinara sauce over top of the crust. Sprinkle with the cheese.
Place the crumbled bacon, peppers, and raw red onions on top of the cheese.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is crispy.
Remove from oven and top with the arugula.
