Hi! I'm Heather Lynne and I love to cook, bake, and read. During the day I'm a special education teacher in an elementary school working with students who have disabilities as well as at risk regular education students. I love working with my students but sometimes my job can get stressful. That's why when I get home I turn into Home Chef Hezzi-D.I currently live with my wonderful husband Frank in Western Maryland. I am originally from Pittsburgh and the difference between the “big city” and life in a rural area has been a big change for me.
Since I was a young child I’ve always had a strong love of reading. I enjoy reading paranormal books, suspense, thrillers, funny memoirs, and young adult and would be happy to review these genre of books from both new and seasoned authors.
I love to bake and often take ingredients I use frequently and create new recipes with them. Some of my most recent creations are Spiced Carrot Kale Muffins, Turtle Cookie Cups, and Herb and Parmesan Roasted Vegetable Pasta.

I recently won two different contests hosted by Giant Eagle Market District.
At the Burger Cookoff 2012 I won first prize in the vegetarian category with my Black Bean Burger.
I then won the Chili Cookoff 2012 with my Chipotle Beef Chili.
Most recently I won Rodelle's Valentine's Day Cupcake Contest 2013 with my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cupcakes.
