Today is my first day back to school.  I swear I’m worse then the kids when it comes to going back to school.  My days are now super busy and I don’t have nearly as much time for making dinner, making snacks, or packing my lunches.  I’m always looking for quick and easy recipes and that includes simple snack recipes.

I love having something that I can just whip up and snack on after school before I have to start dinner.   One of my favorite after school snacks is a 4 ingredient fruit dip made with Cool Whip and your favorite flavor of Jell-O pudding mix.

I headed to my local Walmart store to see what flavors of pudding were available.   I ended up buying lemon and strawberry creme Jell-O pudding mixes as well as two containers of Cool Whip.

One I got home I made both the lemon fruit dip and the strawberry creme fruit dip.   It’s so easy to make that it only took 5 minutes to prepare both dips.

The other great thing about this fruit dip is that it doesn’t need to chill before it’s served so 5 minutes is all it takes to make a yummy snack that both kids and adults will love.  I try to keep the ingredients on hand at all times so whenever someone drops by unexpectedly I have something to offer them.

Easy Lemon Cool Fruit Dip with just 4 simple ingredients

We had the strawberry fruit dip the day I made it.   I served it with strawberries, cherries, peaches, and green grapes.   It was especially good with the strawberries and grapes.

The dip is thick enough that it sticks on the fruit and tastes delicious. Plus, fruit makes such a great snack and this fruit dip pairs with it nicely for the perfect after school snack.  By the way, do you like the snack tray the fruit and fruit dip are in?  I painted it myself!  I’m pretty proud of it.

The next day I served the lemon fruit dip.  It was so easy to just put it in a bowl, place the fruit around it, and serve.  The great thing is that most of the fruit doesn’t even need to be cut up.  You can simply serve it as is.

Along with the lemon dip I served strawberries, cherries, grapes, and blueberries.  I know the blueberries are super small, but I stuck a few on a toothpick and then dipped them into the lemon fruit dip.   Lemon and blueberries are just the perfect sweet and tart pairing and it was tasty.

The best part about this fruit dip is that you can make it any flavor you’d like by changing up the Jell-O pudding mix flavor.   One of the favorites when I have people over is to make it with the white chocolate pudding mix.   It’s awesome with graham crackers, fruit, and even marshmallows.

  1. I’ve seen fruit dips with Cool Whip and cream cheese but I think this is the first time I’ve seen it with Jello to change the flavor! Great idea… and easy!

  2. I’m sure you’re very busy with school. Thank you for teaching the next generation. They need great teachers. I love fruit dip, just to change up the flavor of the fruit a little bit. I will pin this for a party some time.
