Summer is almost here and that means lots of fun and gatherings out on our porch! I love making appetizers and fun, cool drinks for our guests. In the summer I love using fresh fruits to make up the cocktails.
I recently made a yummy strawberry margarita and still had leftover tequila and triple sec so I was thinking of another fun and fruity margarita. When I was at the market this week watermelons were on sale so I bought half of one. I thought a pretty pink margarita would be a lot of fun and my friends would enjoy it as well.
I made the margarita with lime juice, tequila, and triple sec just like I would any margarita. Then I blended a cup of watermelon and added it to the mix. It wasn’t quite sweet enough so I added a little sugar and it was just about perfect!
The margarita was cool and refreshing and perfect for sipping out on the porch. It’s easy to make just one for me or to quadruple the recipe when I have friends coming over. This is definitely a great summer cocktail.

This sounds wonderful! I would love it if you would link it up to Tipsy Tuesday at Grey is the New Black!
