It’s Halloween time and I’ve been working on some really fun recipes! While I love making desserts for all of the holidays, Halloween is one of my favorites.
I’ve made really spooky desserts like this Bloody Glass Shard Cake. Then I’ve made cute desserts like these Easy Ghost Brownies. I also like to make fun desserts that you can eat for breakfast like these Monster Donuts.
I’m sharing a recipe for a cake that I made for my students at school. It’s made with a boxed cake mix so it’s super easy to make.
Monster Bundt Cake is a cake made in fun Halloween colors. Since it is a monster cake it can actually be made any time of the year and served to your “little monsters”.
What is a Bundt Cake?
A Bundt cake is a cake that is baked in a Bundt pan, which is a round pan with a ring shape and a central tube in the middle. The pan often has decorative, fluted sides, which give the cake its signature sculpted look.

The kids loved this cake because of all the fun colors in it as well as the eyes all over the outside of it. It’s simple to make because I just used a boxed cake mix and colored it with food coloring.
Can I make a homemade cake?
Of course you can! Make sure you are making a vanilla, yellow, or white cake so that the food coloring will really pop with your cake.
If you are wondering how I got the deep colors for the cake, it’s because I use AmeriColor Gel Paste Coloring for all the baked goods and frosting. It’s worth every penny I pay for it.
The candy eyes I found at a local cake supply shop. You can make this cake with other colors as well. It might be fun to try red, green, and white for Christmas but for this cake I went with purple, green, and orange.
Then I drizzled it with white, orange, and black. It was fun to make and even more fun to see the kids giggling at the eyes on it.
