We entertain a lot at our house so I’m always making appetizers.  More often then not I make a variety of dips because they are easy and feed a lot of people.   Every now and then I like to make something a little different.

Cheese Straws are an easy and delicious appetizer or snack.

I’ve eaten cheese straws several times at parties and I always enjoy them.   They are easy to pick up and carry around at a party.  They are crunchy and just a little different from anything else I usually eat.

Cheese Straws

They are made out of a cheese and flour mixture that forms a dough.  I added a touch of cayenne pepper that gives the straws a bit of heat.  I had some trouble twisting the straws but after working the dough a bit I got the hang of it.  The straws came out of the oven crunchy, a little spicy, and totally cheesy.
