These easy to make, no bake Baby Shower Cookies use Nutter Butter cookies and candy melts for an adorable cookie dessert.

Four cookies decorated to look like babies.

I make and sell a lot of decorated sugar cookies.   I can make them gluten free, vegan, or original sugar cookie style.

One of my most popular cookies are my baby shower cookies.   I make baby carriages, gift boxes, and rattles.   I’ve made them for people I know and people I don’t know.  I tend to make them in pink, blue, green, or yellow.

So when it came time for my own baby shower I had visions of making these cookies for my shower.   Of course I didn’t anticipate how tired I would be when I was pregnant or how many other orders I would currently have.

So when my own shower rolled around I really didn’t have the time to make the hand decorated sugar cookies.  I started looking for a cookie that was cute but not too time consuming.

Ingredients:

  • Nutter Butter cookies
  • blue colored candy melts (or any other color)
  • White chocolate chips or candy melts
  • Chocolate chips or chocolate candy melts

To Make the Cookies:   Melt the main color in a bowl in the microwave.   Put a sheet of waxed paper down on the counter.  Dip half of the Nutter Butter into the chocolate.  Let the excess drip off then lay on the waxed paper.  Melt the white chocolate and place in a piping bag.  Pipe two eyes on each cookie.   Melt the chocolate chips and pipe two pupils on each eye and a “curl” on the top of each head.  Allow to harden for 20 minutes.

When looking for a cookie that was easier to make I found these adorable Nutter Butter Baby Shower Cookies.  While I personally don’t eat peanut butter, I was willing to work with these peanut butter filled cookies because they are just so cute!

The added bonus was that I didn’t even have to make my own cookies so they were really easy to make too.  Plus I always have plenty of candy melts on hand so all I had to buy were the cookies.

How long will these cookies keep?

These cookies will keep for 2-3 weeks if stored in an air tight container.

Can I use something other than candy melts?

You can use royal icing to decorate these cookies if you want too.   Simply pipe on the bottoms first and then pipe on the eyes and hair.

Could I use edible candy eyes?

Yes!   I think they are a little big for these cookies but if you don’t want to pipe the eyes on you can put a dot of candy melts on the face and press on the candy eyes.

I made about 2 dozen of these cookies and it took me maybe 20 minutes.   I brought them in to my shower at work and everyone laughed.   I guess it’s typical of me to make something for my own party.

To make these all I had to do was dip the Nutter Butter cookies into blue candy melts. Then I piped on eyeballs and a curl of hair.   That’s all there is to these cookies.   They are adorable and perfect for any baby shower.

You could even have blue and pink ones and use them for a gender reveal.  They can also be used to decorate a baby shower cake.

    1. Hello,
I wouldn’t put them in the refrigerator because the chocolate sometimes will get a little white sheen on it but I made these several days in advance and just stored them in my basement where it was cool and they were fine!
