Let’s be honest; the holidays are stressful. I always think it’s funny that the most wonderful time of the year is always the most stressful time of the year. You have to buy gifts for friends and family, go to lots of holiday parties, put up decorations only to take them down a month later, and are busy with holiday baking.
One of the most stressful things at the holidays is holiday shopping. That’s why I’m glad that Giant Eagle is my go-to shop for an afternoon pick-me-up when I need convenience on the go. I like to run in and grab a snack and Simply Singles.
Simply Juice Singles are the perfect beverage for fueling up for a big day of shopping because they are all natural, not-from-concentrate, and have no added preservatives, colors, or artificial flavors. Plus they are made with simple ingredients, come in a convenient 11.5 oz size that is perfect for grabbing on the go, and come in delicious flavors such as Simply Orange®, Simply Lemonade®, Simply Fruit Punch®, and Simply Limeade®. With that selection of flavors everyone is sure to find one they enjoy at Giant Eagle.
So how do I survive holiday shopping? I’m going to share my 5 Tips for Surviving Holiday Shopping with you!
- Go to the Stores Early in the Morning.
If possible get to the stores when they open. I find that generally people go later in the day so if you are there when the store opens you can beat the rush and the lines will be much shorter. Plus, if you go on a weekday many people are at work so you won’t have to fight the big crowds.
2. Have a List and Stick to it.
Always have a list of items you want before you go into the store. This will help you get in and get out quickly. In addition to saving time, it will also prevent you from looking around and spending a lot more money on items you don’t need.
3. Grab Snacks Before You Go.
This is a big one for me. When the stores are crowded and I’ve been shopping I tend to get grumpy if I don’t have something to eat or drink. I like to head to Giant Eagle before I go to the mall and grab a snack and Simply Singles to enjoy on the way to my destination. A simple snack and the Honestly Simple flavors in Simply Singles are the perfect way to fuel up before a shopping trip. This way I’m not hungry or thirsty while I’m shopping and I don’t have to stop and find some place to get a snack.
4. Go Shopping with a Friend.
Shopping is so much more fun when you bring someone along with you. When you go with a friend who enjoys shopping you’ll have someone to talk to, you can get opinions on what you are buying, and it’s more relaxing.
5. Shop the Sales Ads.
Take a look at store ads before you go and compare prices so you know you are getting the best deal. This can help so you don’t have to make multiple returns during the holiday season. I always scan all of the ads, circle what I want, and then make a plan to go to those stores.
