Shake up your evening with this irresistible Apple Martini!   It’s a perfect balance of sweet and tart, drizzled with caramel and finished with a cinnamon stick for cozy fall vibes in every sip.

Every fall I get so excited for apple and pumpkin season.  It’s like I wait all summer until August arrives and then I start buying all things pumpkin and apple.  It’s really a silly thing because I can buy these flavors all year long but it seems like they are more in season in the fall.

I actually have an apple syrup from Torani that is really tasty.  It’s sweet but a little tart and it’s nice to have on hand whenever I’m making an apple flavored cocktail.

Can I make my own Apple Syrup?

If you don’t have apple syrup on hand you can simply cut 2 apples into pieces and boil them along with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar for about 20 minutes and then strain the solids out to get the syrup.  It works just as well.

I have actually made quite a few different flavors of syrups that are great in cocktails, iced tea, or coffee.    One of my summer favorites is Prickly Pear syrup.   Around the holidays this Gingerbread Syrup is great in coffee, tea, or even hot chocolate.   My year round syrup of choice is Cinnamon Dolce Coffee Syrup.

I have plenty of apple cocktails on the blog but I figure there’s always room for another one.  This Apple Martini is a winner and should be on everyone’s fall cocktail list.   Think of a drink with sweet and tart apple syrup, of bit of spiciness from cinnamon, finished off with a caramel drizzle.  It’s basically fall in a glass.

I ended up drizzling the caramel in the martini glass before pouring in the drink and that seemed to work well.  The caramel mixed in with the cocktail but some still stayed on the side of the glass which was really pretty.  I served it with a cinnamon stick which is both fun and whimsical.  You could also serve it with an apple slice or even a dried apple.
