I was sent coffee to sample from Door County Coffee but all opinions are 100% my own.
A few months ago I was introduced to Door County Coffee. It is not a coffee brand that I had heard of previously which was surprising because I like coffee and I really like flavored coffee. I tried several of their amazing flavored coffees and soon realized I couldn’t live without the Jamaican Me Crazy or the Cinnamon Hazelnut. Both are so delicious and I regularly keep them in stock now.
Last month I was sent a bag of Door County Coffee Birthday Cake Coffee. I couldn’t wait to try it because I love birthday cake flavor. The first cup I had I wasn’t sure about. It smelled amazing but I was undecided. After my second cup I realized this was the perfect afternoon coffee because of the sweetness and flavor. It has flavors of vanilla cake, buttercream frosting, and sprinkles.
While I really enjoy a cup of this coffee on its own, I thought it would be awesome as a latte. We’ve been making a lot of lattes this summer with our Ninja coffee bar so I knew this one would be a winner as well. Birthday cake flavored coffee with frothed vanilla milk topped with whipped cream and sprinkles sounded like a delicious combination.
So I set to work making this latte. I started by brewing a very strong cup of the Birthday Cake coffee. Then I heated vanilla syrup in a cup of milk and used a frother to make it frothy. I poured it into the coffee then topped it with whipped cream and sprinkles.
The result was magic. I would totally enjoy this with a piece of cake on my birthday or anyone else’s birthday. The latte is smooth, rich, and creamy and tastes just like a birthday cake. The whipped cream and sprinkles on top make it super fun and add a little bit of sugar and flavor. This is totally a fun latte that’s great for celebrations of all different kinds!
