Today is the last day of 2013. It’s a day of reflection on the past year and a day to think about resolutions for the future. 2013 was a decent year for me. I’m healthy, I have a job I enjoy, I have a loving husband, and a wonderful family. My little brother got engaged to a woman I really like and I’m happy for them both. My blog has grown significantly as has my etsy business. I have some wonderful friends and will be celebrating with some of them tonight. With all the highs in 2013 there were also some lows both for me personally and in my family.
For 2014 my main hope is that my family and friends be happy and healthy. Personally my goals are to try and eat better, exercise more, grow my blog, and maintain the wonderful relationships I have with both friends and family. I’m hoping that 2014 will be a year to remember.
To help celebrate tonight I created a champagne cocktail with a few things that I had in the house. The basis is, of course, champagne. I wanted a pink tinge to make it look extra festive and that came from pomegranate juice. Then I added in some Grand Marnier for that orange flavor and this fruity and festive cocktail was born! Make a single glass or make it in a pitcher and share with your friends. Either way I want to wish you all a Happy and Healthy 2014!
