Lately my husband and I have been trying to eat healthier. We are back on My Fitness Pal and we’re tracking what we eat. While I absolutely love carbs like bread, pasta, and wraps, sometimes I need to substitute healthier or lower calorie options. With summer here and produce in abundance, one of the substitutions I actually like is lettuce wraps in place of regular wraps.
Lettuce wraps get the job done, they don’t hinder the flavor, and they have very few calories in them. I have a chicken lettuce wrap recipe that I often make and that I really enjoy, but I have to whip up the sauce myself. Sometimes when I come home from work I just don’t feel like cooking all that much.
I’ve recently found McCormick Skillet Sauces. They are tasty and easy to use. They have a Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry Sauce that is great. I’ve been using it to make these Sesame Chicken Lettuce Wraps.
The great thing about these wraps is that everything can be prepped ahead of time. That means before I leave for work I can chop the vegetables, cut up the chicken, and put it all in the refrigerator. When I get home all I have to do is stir fry the chicken, stir fry the veggies, then I add the sauce and that’s it! Dinner is ready in less then 20 minutes.
