I really enjoy soda but I don’t like all the calories that comes with it.ย That’s why I was excited to see that Safeway is carrying 4 different Ten calorie soft drinks including 7 UP Ten, Sunkist Ten, A&W Ten, and Canada Dry Ten. ย Now I can enjoy the sodas I love with same great taste but without all of the calories.
Since summer is coming I need to start getting ready for swimsuit weather and that means I need to start eating better and living a healthier lifestyle.ย ย That means exercising several times a week, making healthy meals, and choosing healthier snacks.ย ย ย Choosing and making healthier snacks is the hardest for me.ย In the summer I love a good milkshake or ice cream cone but my waistline certainly doesn’t.
While trying to come up with healthier snack items I found the popsicle molds I had bought on clearance at the end of last summer.ย That got me thinking.ย I checked the refrigerator and found fresh strawberries and raspberries, both of which are part of my healthy eating habits.
I came up with a quick and delicious ice pop recipe that comes in at just 35 calories.ย ย Yes, you heard that correctly, 35 calories per pop.ย ย I can eat 3 and be just over 100 calories!ย I chopped up the strawberries and raspberries, put them in my molds, and then filled the molds with 7 UP Ten!ย ย It not only made a delicious popsicle but a pretty one too!ย ย The fruit pieces are easy to see through the clear soda. ย My husband and I have been enjoying these out on our deck and I’m looking forward to trying the Sunkist Ten with citrus fruit slices for my next popsicle!
