I love popcorn! In fact, I’ve been making so much popcorn that I’ve been buying a new container of it about once a month. That may not seem like a lot, but each container pops around ten 8-cup servings. While I enjoy going to the movies and eating their popcorn, it’s just so fattening and usually it’s dripping in butter.
Making my own popcorn is cheaper, healthier, and fun whenever I experiment with different flavors. This week I made garlic Parmesan popcorn. I had something similar several years ago and I was still thinking of it so I tried it myself. The end results were pretty great! I tried it the first time with real garlic but it got soggy so I went with the garlic salt which worked really well.
- 8 c. popped popcorn
- 4 T. melted butter
- 2 t. garlic salt
- 1/4-1/3 c. Parmesan cheese (the kind in a can)
- Put the popcorn in a large bowl. Pour the butter over top and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the popcorn with the garlic salt and desired amount of Parmesan cheese. Toss to coat.
- Serve immediately.
